I recall the Santa Barbara "club" being a Knockwurst, Vienerschnitzel-type German Restaurant turned club. Our stage was maybe 1 foot higher than the dance floor and it was indeed more of a dance concert than a rock concert. The whole dance floor was filled with sweaty young bodies. We were sweaty and young(er) too!
