The Spirit of San Luis Obispo (play on words of Lindbergh's plane? You be the judge) was a unique club in that it sat atop of a hill you had to drive to on a 2-lane road. You get to the top and there are the club and its parking lot. Nothing else. It overlooked Highway 101 and the beautiful town of San Luis Obispo. This was one of my favorites. -- dk
