Mood Swing

Down on the streets,
I can hear the cars crash
I can hear the cool cats yelling
Hey yo! Look at me!

Down on the streets
I can hear the cars crash
I can hear the cool cats yelling
Hey yo! Look at me

It's a wonderful city
Even on its knees
Put on your jack boots, baby
I'll show you what I mean
It's a wonderful city
Even on its knees
Put on your jack boots, baby
I'll show you what I mean

These are the streets to paradise
This is the street of shame
This is the street that goes nowhere fast
This is a street without a name

Down on the streets
I can hear the blood boil
I can hear the blood boil
Down on the streets

Down on the streets
I can hear the blood boil
I can hear the blood boil
Down on the streets

I hear the voices
Half a million voices
They're angry voices
And one of them sounds like me
I hear the voices
Half a million voices
They're angry voices,
And one of them sounds like me.

These are the zones outside all zones
So be uncivilized and swift
You got to learn to protect yourself
You're all you've got
Consider it a gift
Down on the streets,
I can feel the mood swing
I can feel the mood swing
I feel the beat

Down on the streets,
I can feel the mood swing
I can feel the mood swing
I feel the beat

Down on the streets,
I can feel the mood swing
I can feel the mood swing
I feel the beat

Down on the streets
I can feel the mood swing
I can feel the mood swing
I feel the beat
Alright

Down on the streets,
I can hear the cars crash

David wrote the music on his Korg Poly-800 Synthesizer's sequencer -- a device where you can store notes or chords and their durations, then play them back at any speed. It was difficult to use and I accidentally input what became the music to Mood Swing. As Marc looks for creative sparks. He heard the playback and said "what was that?" I'd play it back and then the whole band played it back and here we are!
